Kombucha tea is a fermented tea drink made with a SCOBY- Symbiotic Colony of Bacteria & Yeast! Although it's sometimes referred to as kombucha mushroom tea, it is not a mushroom. Kombucha tea is made by adding this colony to tea, and allowing the mix to ferment. The resulting liquid contains vinegar, B vitamins and a number of other chemical compounds.
